Can I get a ride?

in your convertible. its almost 8 am and I ask the two guys sitting in the convertible almost outside the house I'm staying in on Martel. They are Jewish, I ask if they are going to Pico. I'm on my way to a bris I tell them. The driver keeps on flipping through the radio channels. In one song
its where my demons hide ...don't want to let you down...hide the truth
He moves through the line of traffic driving on the right and whizzes by other cars. I am grateful for the scarf I have wrapped around my neck and put over my hair. He drops me off by his friends school. I climb out and walk down the dirty sidewalks of Pico. At the bris, I see the driver.

I admit I can be overly trusting, AND sometimes you just gotta ask so you can get where you need to go.

Compliments on the hat

One of the best buys I have that protects my face from the sun as well as adding color to my already colorful personality is a striped hat I bought at K-mart. Its nice to receive several compliments in a day on it. Sometimes I tell people where its from.  Keep your face protected from the sun and look fashionable!

Technology, time and patience

Its been awhile since I've posted. I've taken a few breaks from being on internet as much as I was, however no excuse to stop posting and sharing. I walked to the Larchmont farmers market and I always appreciate being around good people and produce. I walked out of the house and there were women giving away sunglasses as part of a Fiat promotion. Grateful for that. I waited a LOOONG time for the bus to go down 3rd st with the LA marathon.  I'm being patient with myself in what I want to make happen. May we have a productive joy-filled week.
