Sodium Snafu

I spent a few hours this afternoon at St. Johns hospital providing support to my friend who has a low  sodium level after her surgery.  We stopped to get potato chips in hopes of raising her level before she got a blood test.  Since they are low, the hospital is having her stay for 24 hours.  I made the best of waiting sharing laughter yoga with the staff. I  am relieved to be out of there, and   I am relieved to be home. I took the bus up La Cienega to W. Hollywood and realized that its not as far as I think it is. I got to drive my friend's Lexus from the hospital to her apartment. As I was driving, I became more aware of the other cars around me that are Lexus.  whoo hoo!

Silent Night

all is calm
so for us feels like shabbat on Tuesday. Some people start wishing a Good Shabbos Tuesday evening. We're starting the preparation towards the highlight. And December 25th, the buildup of retail, consumerism, materialism. Its nice to have a quiet night. Went to the Felds-Daniel is visiting from Berkeley.  He is in acupuncture school and I asked him to give me a tounge diagnosis. Yin deficient. I came home and boiled up chinese herbs I got this spring for my constitution.
Smells healing. I'm determined to go to sleep before 11:30

I went to Baldwin Hills overlook and my legs are sore from the stairs. I shared laughter yoga with people at the top that was fun.

Healing Cavities naturally

I'm scared to see a dentist. The fear to be told that I need fillings and root canals and thousands of dollars of work There is a woman who has a blog called and she writes how eating a mineral rich diet-raw organic dairy, organic grass fed meat, organic eggs. I might have to take out a loan to be on the diet, however it might work out in the money I save with dental work. Its about remineralizing our teeth and bonesm getting the proper nutrients.  Its avoiding foods with phytic acid, and nuts.  I think I'll start with making a bone broth. Now to find some organic bones.

Apple cider vinegar

Now that i've got my blogging mojo back-part of it inspired by attending a social media meeting at Cross Campus last night I'd like to share about Apple cider vinegar ACV. I woke up with a sore throat, I drank some with warm water and honey. I like using ACV as a hair conditioner. I find it a great way to get rid of buildup and dandruff.  There's the smell, rinse it out afterwards. my hair feels soft and scalp feels alive

Its true, its ALL true. Persians and their money. I can give you the inside scoop. Today I counted out over $200 in dollar bills that were in a plastic bag. It was interesting to be touching that much money. Its NOT that me it seemed. I counted out piles of $25 and put rubber bands around it.  It was interesting for me to explore my relationship to touching wrinkled torn bills, preferng crisp ones. I had to unfold most of them.
It was one of the items that was in the cluttered metal cabinet that got organized today. It feels good to create order. Business directory from 2001-that can go.

I'm doing community service for a traffic violation at a Persian shul on Pico Boulevard. I look at my experience as an anthropology study or if I was an investigative reporter.  Its next door to a place called Canine Cuts and two doors down is a pot dispensarary.
My tasks have included being in the parking lot to watch for people double parking-I didn't take the keys of anyone's BMW. I've peeled potatoes, recorded checks in a log, done a lot of tedious data entry, swept the floor, bagged bread rolls, band the most tactile thing was spreading out halva-a more dough like consistency with oil in plastic trays.
My supervisor Esther, who runs the cluttered office-now its a little clearer after my assistance-is a kindly woman in her early 60's. She is busy with the phones, collecting money, distributing to people who come. Today she offered me a handmade gold dress. Not sure when I would have an opportunity to wear it, however much appreciated. She is generous with food-today she offered me a homemade raisin cookie. Bean stew and bread are the staples that get served in the kitchen for breakfast. The shul feeds a lot of people in the community.
